Leading Carpet Recycler Finds New Ways to Divert Flooring from Landfills
According to the U.S. EPA, carpet comprises a significant fraction of the waste stream that contributes to global warming and waste management problems. Combating this challenge, CarpetCycle introduced innovative shearing technology that achieves 99-percent nylon purity. Housed at the Company’s new, hallmark facility in Newark, N.J., this technology gives carpet a second life to enable post-residential and post-commercial flooring to be safely recycled or reused as diverse end-use products.
